Sufi Mysticism

Sufi mysticism, also known as tasawwuf, represents a deep and esoteric dimension of Islam, characterized by an inner search for divine knowledge and spiritual union with God. This particular form of Islamic spirituality developed within the Muslim community, mainly during the first centuries of Islam.

Sufi mysticism finds its foundations in the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, but it is distinguished by its introspective approach and commitment to the purification of the soul. Sufis, followers of this mystical path, follow a rigorous spiritual path aimed at transcending the external aspects of faith to access a deep, inner understanding of divine reality.

Mystical poetry, often used by Sufis to express their love and devotion to God, is also a significant part of their tradition.
